Thanos #17 review
hanos #17 is by Donny Cates with art by Geoff Shaw and Antonio Fabela
Thanos #17 is exciting, brutal, messy, badass, and beautiful all at the same time; it’s everything you never knew you wanted in a comic full of the best fan service you could ever ask for. It’s a fun thrilling rea than will keep you on your toes and have you smiling from excitement toward the end. This issue is the big fight and the creative team delivers on it in every way possible.
This issue isn’t a very plot heavy book, this issue and the next are what this series has been building up to. But Cates excels with this wonderfully scripted fight between two forces of nature that is drawn, and only could have been drawn, by Geoff Shaw. It’s wonderful seeing these two characters who are already extremely powerful at base going after each other both being stronger than ever and going full out at that. There is no holding back in this fight and Shaw and Fabela don’t hold back either, this is a very brutal fight and a very brutal issue and it couldn’t have been done any other way.
This issue was a masterpiece, it’s everything you could ever want in a comic book especially if you are a Thanos fan. It’s fan service at its finest, and it knows that and runs with it in the best ways possible. If you aren’t reading this comic then you are missing out on a damn fun read
