The dawn of Power Rangers' Hasbro Era has arrived, and with it, the arrival of the highly anticipated Lightning Collection toy line. Hasbro's new collector-oriented line is meant to simulate the success of their similar lines Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series. Referred to as an "anthology line" by management, the Lightning Collection brings characters from all eras of Power Rangers to life with the same level of quality Hasbro has championed through their other collector lines.

Wave 1 is due out in late April-early May depending on what outlet you pre-order them with, with the second wave arriving later this Fall. The first wave will consist of MMPR White Ranger, Dino Charge Red Ranger, SPD Shadow Ranger, and the line's first villain Lord Zedd. Most of the second wave is still TBA, but Hasbro has revealed it will include the Beast Morphers Red Ranger and MMPR monster Goldar (not pictured) who will be a GameStop exclusive.

The toys look fantastic, with multiple accessories such as alternate hands, affect energy parts for their weapons, un-helmeted heads for the Rangers, and a growth bomb for Lord Zedd. The articulation and sculpt of the figures are also excellent, with the only real missing piece of modern articulation being a waist swivel, which is offset by the addition of a chest swivel.

Figures can be preordered on Amazon, Target, GameStop, HasbroPulse, BigBadToyStore, and wherever collectibles are sold.
