Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #14 Review
How deep can this hole get!? Higgins has the Rangers in possibly the most dangerous situation we've ever seen them.
Lets back up though in case you haven't been following the series. Tommy in Billy are trapped in alternate dimension. The other Rangers have been depowered (sorta), and are using Tommy's connection to the morphin grid (see issue 8). Rita has reprogrammed alpha to lead the rangers still on earth into a trap. Meanwhile Tommy and Billy are allied with a severely outmatched resistance team fighting against you know who. (IF YOU DON'T READ THE BOOK!)
So back to current events, ITS NOT GETTING ANY BETTER! Rita has duped the rangers, and Tommy and Billy have been cornered. However, there is a glimmer of hope to be found in an ancient item from the alt universe. I still don't see it helping, especially with the choices made by a certain ranger at the closing of the issue.
Grades:
- Art: A- I love seeing the zords on panels and Prasetya is a wizard
- Story: B+ Rangers in Danger $#!T is Real (even though at sometimes cliche)
- Dialogue: A+ You can tell Higgins is a fan. I can always read in the original cast's voices
- Significance: A+ We're getting stuff we've never seen before as fans
Final Grade: A- this better wrap up next issue though, idk how much more my nerves can take lol
