Hasbro Darth Vader Hyperreal Display // NYTF2019

One of the most mysterious rumors in the pre-Toy Fair hype was Star Wars: Black Series Hyperreal Darth Vader, a rumored new type of figure at a higher scale and price point than previous Black series entries. Hasbro revealed the figure formally as well as explained what it is that makes the new Hyperreal figures stand out from other Star Wars product.

The Hyperreal Darth Vader figure is Hasbro's first attempt to replicate the success of high-end collectibles seen from other companies. Produced with a durable and articulated skeletal frame that is molded over separate fabric, the Hyperreal line's vision is to create a well made and poseable product that does not compromise the sculpted detail. The Hyperreal Darth Vader also includes multiple accessories such as alternate hands, his signature lightsaber, and an effect part simulating Vader's ability to withstand blaster fire in midair.

A $79.99 price tag at an 8-inch scale might seem a steep order for some, but seeing the skeleton in person demonstrates how unique this figure is from the older product.

What do you think of the new Hyperreal toyline? Are there other characters you hope to receive such a figure? Let You Don't Read Comics know in the comments below or on our social media pages!
