Sonic the Hedgehog #3 review

Sonic he Hedgehog written by Ian Flyn with art by Jennifer Hernandez and colors by  Heather Breckel

If you want to read a fast paced, action heavy, visually appealing book that oozes fun this series is for you. Every issue so far reads as the most fun book you will read that week and also visually one of the best as well.

Thus far the issue is getting a bit formulaic without it seeming to repetitive to ot readers off. The concept for each issue is town gets attacked, Sonic goes to save town and meets up with an ally to help him. But while being formulaic each issue has its own identity as well and doesn’t feel similar at all. This issue introduces fan favorite character Knuckles who teams with sonic to fight a pair of skunks who are holding a town hostage. The best part of each issue so far is the action and showing how Sonics speed works with all these different characters and their specials abilities as well. In this issue you really get a sense that Knuckles is a brawler through and through and seeing his fighting style with Sonics speed is visually appealing.

its hard to find complaints in a book that is just this good, everything works and the teams plays off each other very well. Writer Ian Flyn nails the personality of each character and the art teams perfectly showcase each character and makes the book really pop
