Hit Girl #1 review
Hit girl #1 by Mark Millar,Ricardo Lopez Ortiz, and Sunny Gho
Hit Girl #1 is a thrilling, exciting, and refreshing start to a new series featuring everyone’s favorite psychotic vigilante little girl. Mark Millar bring his A game with this story and his writing is complimented by the great art team of Ricardo Lopez Ortiz and Sunny Gho. This review will include very mild spoilers
This issue starts out with the arrest and transporting of Hitman Fabio Mendoza, who has been wanted for over a hundred murders and is known for escaping from custody. During this transport things go wrong and he has help escaping only to find out it was Hit Girl who helped him escape and now has him captured. The bulk of this issue shows how Hit Girl has been dealing with working alone since the retirement of Kick Ass. Without giving away to much it’s a nice suprise to see what she does with Fabio and it’s exciting to think of what’s to come for this series.
All around this issue was a great fun read full of action, surprises and character growth as well without ever feeling to rushed. The art and colors are very energetic and work well with the fast paced action story this was. I’m gonna give this issue an B
