Green Arrow #27 Review

Green Arrow By Benjamin Percy and Otto Schmidt

I am here once again to tell you that we have another good issue of Green Arrow, I'm telling you this series just continues with a good streak ever since issue one. Benjamin Percy has continuously given us good writing with this series and the art as always is on point. So (and while this is all my opinion) Green Arrow ocntinues to be one of the best written and best looking Dc Rebirth books.

This issue picks up exactly where #26 ended, Green Arrow continuing his trip across the United States to clear his name and defeat the Ninth Circle, with the Flash by his side. It opens with GA and Flash busting in on a crime scene, we get some fun banter between the heroes before Ollie lets the Flash do what he does best and that's investigate the crime scene. From here the Flash leaves to study what hes found and leaves Ollie alone in D.C. Well not for long because as he takes down an armored thud, the armor being made by Queen Industries) he gets stopped by Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman doesn't like the way Oliver does things and he's honestly;y not the biggest fan of hers either. Now honestly this issue could of been rushed and put out only because of the Wonder Woman film and the hype surrounding her, thankfully Percy writes this well and makes everything flow naturally. Dinah uses her lasso on Oliver and learns that he didn't commit the murder that he's being blamed for and they team up to save a senator who they really end up not saving. We then get a big powerful political speech that just feels so old school Green Arrow when he gets a call from the Flash to learn Lex Luthor has something to do with the Ninth Circle. To Metropolis we go

My favorite thing about this issue is how Oliver and Dinah play off each other so well, I really wouldn't mind more issues of them working together. We are also getting a more political liberal loudmouth Green Arrow that I grew to love before the N52. Oliver really got the shaft in the N52 especially when it came to the league, and I love that this arc seems to be making up for that. I'm gonna give this issue an A+ for being an all around good and fun issue.
